We fetch hourly exchange prices directly from EPEX SPOT – the same data source used by all Austrian and German spot tariff providers. Prices are published 24 hours in advance, allowing us to optimize predictively.
Absolutely. All data is TLS-encrypted and stored on EU servers in Germany. EnergyOptimizer is GDPR compliant – data is never shared with third parties. Werner.Solutions is an Austrian company based in Graz.
On connection loss, the system switches to fallback mode: your devices are controlled via a timer schedule (default: 10 PM - 6 AM). Once connection is restored, real-time optimization continues automatically.
For meaningful optimization, I recommend at least 50 liters of storage capacity. From 80 liters, savings become noticeable as more energy can be shifted to cheap hours.
